About this workshop
The most amazing aspect of e-commerce is its ability to impact sales and marketing efforts immediately. By going online, suddenly a neighborhood bakery or a home based consulting service expands its reach to a national, or even international base of potential customers. Web-based sales know no international boundaries.
The boot camp was held to let the audience know what are the benefits of going online and the impact it can generate for them. The participants were taken through the steps needed to go online and a brief of how to optimize the digital presence was also shared by the key speakers.
The event which was held on 18th December at The Bengal Club, 1/1 Russell Street saw more than 70 participants coming together to understand the importance and way forward to go online from traditional business.

Speakers:
Ravi built his first software product in 1996. Since then he has founded a startup in College with friends before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. Engaged since 20 years with Information Technology, he has been involved with product development, ERP implementations and IT Consulting with TCS, Accenture and various startups. Being a Chartered Accountant and a tech guy, Ravi has the right blend of business and domain knowledge.
He is the co-founder of Amount IT Pvt. Ltd. whose product ‘TradeDesk’ is a highly intuitive & innovative sales platform for the brand owners to go online along with their distribution channels. He is also a partner at InCommerce Ventures LLP which aims to build a strong ecommerce community in India.
An entrepreneur focused at building innovative IT solutions and aimed at shaping up a strong eCommerce community in India. He started his entrepreneurial career in 2005 as the founder and CEO of an IT product company called InSync Solutions which is headquartered in Kolkata and has worked with 250+ ecommerce merchants all over the world. He is a partner at InCommerce Ventures LLP which is an initiative to bring together e-business entrepreneurs and like-minded people and grow together in the ecommerce ecosystem.
Atul is also the managing trustee of Inspiria Knowledge Campus, a higher education institution in Siliguri. The objective of this venture is to make the youth employable and inspire them to achieve. As a member of NASSCOM Eastern Region Council and TiE Kolkata chapter, Atul actively participates in various mentoring programs to nurture the entrepreneurial culture in the city.
All in all, it was a successful event which saw people coming together to learn the importance of going digital, including many traditional retailers willing to open up online stores and people planning to start their new ecommerce ventures.
