Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 has shipped and is now available for download.

This past summer, Microsoft took the major step of allowing its partners to deploy Windows Azure-hosted versions of Dynamics NAV 2013, as well as Dynamics GP 2013, for customers who want a cloud-based ERP solution.

In August blog post previewing Dynamics NAV 2013 R2, Paul White, senior director of Microsoft Dynamics ERP, reiterated Microsoft’s commitment to its hosting partners.

“Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 supports multitenant deployments and comes with a range of tools designed to support large-scale hosting of the Dynamics NAV application — driving down costs and improving service levels for customers,” White wrote at the time.

Other new Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 features include increased integration with Microsoft’s Office 365 suite, an improved User Interface, enhancements to Cash-Management Tools, and single sign-on capabilities with SharePoint Online.

With this latest release of Dynamics NAV reaching general availability, Microsoft hinted that the next version is already in the works.

According to this post about the R2 release on Microsoft’s “The Edge” blog: “We are extremely excited to ship yet another release of Microsoft Dynamics NAV on schedule, and can’t wait see how our customers and partners put it to work in their businesses. And yes, the product team is already hard at work on the next release of Microsoft Dynamics NAV!”
