System Crash Reported in SAP Business One 8.81 PL08
Issue Description:
SAP Business one client (8.81 PL08) crashes with unhandled exception. This happens several times during the day, especially on the Sales orders form. Already created a new windows user, clear the temp folder and reinstall SAPB1 client, but the issue was not fixed. It also crashes when clicking on an UDF.
Workaround:
- Before anything else, try and install the Remote Support Platform on the server. It will check your system for all known issues, and offer fixes, or it will tell you to log a message. It will also help SAP support to provide ad hoc fixes.
- Check if the PC memory is minimum 1 GB. You can also drop the query formatted search in one or more fields in the document line. Do that in the server to avoid crash using super user
System Crash Reported in SAP Business One Client
Issue Description:
SAP Business One Client is crashed during First Login for the day
Workaround:
- The Client Pc must have the Native SQL Client to Be installed . this can be found in the MSSQL2005 CD the file name is “sqlncli.msi”
After Installing
- Due to some reason (I guess the user rights) the registry doesn’t get updated at this location.
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\SAP Manage\SAP Business One\LogIN.
- The value of the “ServerType” should be “4” if it is “1” the B1 will keep crashing at first logon.
- Once changed to “4” the B1 Client will not crash at the first login.
System Crash Reported in SAP Business One 8.82 PL11 when running General Leger Report
Issue Description:
We have experienced system crash when running the General Ledger Report with large data. I would like to know If I further upgrade SAP Business One 8.82 PL12, is the issue has been resolved or not,
Workaround:
- As per SAP Note 1884223 SAP Business One 8.82 PL13 also have the same problem, so it’s not the solution to upgrade to PL12 and the issue will be resolved
- When you run the General Ledger Report, Have you selected one financial year or more than one? If Yes Please do select one financial year and you can get report easily
- As per SAP Note 1737476, SAP Recommended to upgrade to SAP Business One 9.0 to the latest PL to get this issue resolved
- If you are using the 32 bit client then it is not an SAP problem but a Microsoft problem because of the processor memory limitations of 32 bit systems. You will face the same experience even with 9.0 PL08, the resolution is to choose a smaller data set or use a 64 bit client.
