September 20, 2013Better Than The Standard Magento Search We tried using the standard magento search when we launched our new site and ran into major headaches right away. Customers simply could not find the products they were searching for, especially if they did not enter the name into the search bar 100% correctly. We then switched to Better Store Search and our orders dramatically increased because not only did the search results improve but we were also able to to teach the system how to redirect the search to the intended product when only a partial title was entered into the search bar. Our developers had no difficulty at all installing the Better Store Search module and it has worked flawlessly ever since. How/where can i translate "did you mean" text?

Avatar Image Url:: http://www.magentocommerce.com/images/avatars/uploads/avatar_26612056Answer:The "Did you mean" would be modified to Your Local Language in your translation CSV file titled "TBT_Bss.csv", as would all other unique phrases to Better Store Search. They are located under "app/locale/en_US/TBT_Bss.csv". Proceed to take the following steps to transition BSS to your EXISTING local languages translation file (installed using the Magento translation files).
1) Copy the "TBT_Bss.csv" file, and paste it in your languages locale, which should be located under "app/locale/language_COUNTRY" as your country's translation file (be it Germany, Switzerland, etc.).
2) Open this newly copied over TBT_Bss.csv. The format of the file is like this: “Phrase in English”,”Phrase in English”.'
3) To translate to your language, change the second instance of the English translation to the equivalent word or phrase in your language (after the comma): “Phrase in English”,”Phrase in Your Language”. Clear your cache. And your all set!

The BSS index won't stop saying "processing" and it's completely crashing my site and stopping most other indexes from running.
